Ocean Walk Shoppes Goes Green With FlowMark

Ocean Walk Shoppes Goes Green Replacing Chemicals with FlowMark for their Cooling Towers

Calcium Falls Out of Water for New York State Manufacturer

A large New York State Manufacturer sees firsthand how well the Web Induction Pulsed Power Water Treatment System manufactured by FlowMark removes calcium carbonate from high conductivity water (about 1550 micro-siemens).  FlowMark systems promotes the formation of calcium carbonate seed crystals in the treated water which fall out of solution in quiet areas of the cooling tower system instead of plating out as hard scale deposits inside the chiller or on the tower fill.  In the photo above one can notice the large amounts of loose granulated calcium carbonate on the tower basin floor and the absence of any scale in the tower fill.

The loose granulated calcium carbonate is easily removed by manual cleaning.

Zamarano Hospital in Pacoag, RI is pleased with their FlowMark System

Chiller FlowMark Water Treatment System with conductivity based controls.

Chiller FlowMark Water Treatment System with conductivity based controls.

A FlowMark Chemical-Free Water Treatment System was installed on the 300 ton steam
powered Absorption Chiller and cooling tower. In addition, a bag filtration and Creative Water
Solutions ProMoss filtration system was installed to maintain clean water in the cooling
system. This system eliminates hazardous chemical use for the cooling system. The biological
counts are consistently less than 500 CFU/ml, corrosion is controlled and the water in the
cooling tower is crystal clear.

Volusia County Schools Evaluates FlowMark Cooling Tower Water Treatment

volusia-schools

In cooperation with Volusia County Schools HVAC Management, FlowMark Water Treatment of Daytona Beach, FL has successfully completed a 6 month paid trial to prove the validity of their Web Induction Pulsed Power and Advanced Oxidation Systems.  All conventional chemical treatment was suspended during the trial period.  The FlowMark chemical free system provided excellent scale and bacteria control while operating at high cycles of concentration to conserve water.  Management was impressed and is not considering a chemical free water treatment bid for all schools.

Fjord Line Ships Use FlowMark to Condition Potable Water

ship

January 2013
Fjord Line of Denmark has purchased two FlowMark Web Induction Pulsed Power systems to
protect the potable water plumbing systems of two new ships.
The Web Induction systems are installed on the discharge piping o the bulk water tanks in
order to prevent calcium scale from forming throughout the ships extensive plumbing system.
Success was immediately apparent when the ships engineers realized that FlowMark was
preventing scale from forming on the quartz tubes of the ships Ultraviolet Disinfection System.
FlowMark is protecting hot water boilers. kitchen equipment, cabin fixtures. disinfection
systems and all piping from hard water scale.

Plaza Resort & Spa Goes Green

Plaza-Resort

In effort to save water and reduce their environmental footprint, the Plaza Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach, Fl. has changed the way they treat their cooling tower water. Waterhouse Corporation of Deltona, Fl. was contracted to replace the existing chemical water treatment program on 5 cooling towers with chemical free systems manufactured by Flow-Mark Water Treatment of Daytona Beach, Fl.

The FlowMark Pulsed Power Systems allow the cooling towers to operate at higher cycles of concentration which saves an enormous amount of water that was previously being wasted. FlowMark’s Advanced Oxidation Process provides the biological control, killing bacteria including Legionella, viruses, fungi and mold. The cooling tower water is now crystal clear and safe.

Comfort Inn Boston / Logan Installs FlowMark

Comfort Inn Boston / Logan Installs Chemical-Free Electronic Water Treatment System for Cooling Towers & Heat Exchanger

The Comfort Inn & Suites Boston/Logan International Airport has installed a FlowMark “chemical-free” (also called “pulsed-power”) water treatment system for its cooling tower and heat exchanger. The FlowMark system, installed by Conservation Solutions Corporation (CSC), has sharply cut water use and eliminated the need for hazardous chemicals to control calcium, bacteria, scale, corrosion and biofilm.

“Chemical-free” water treatment systems are used to treat cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers and evaporative condensers. They replace chemicals with an electronic field. “Chemical-free” systems have the best payback for hotels with cooling towers and chillers.

The Comfort Inn’s new system cost $6,300 to install and saves the hotel roughly $5,685 per year.

PROJECT PROFILE MEDICAL BUILDING

Medical BuildingIn October 2013 a FlowMark model Mark-III was installed on the 6” diameter PVC riser of a 300 ton evaporative condenser at a medical building in Lake Marry Florida. All chemical treatment was discontinued.

Over the course of 12 months the conductivity bleed set point was gradually increased to attain maximum water savings. Cycles of concentration by chlorides were increased from 4.1 to 14.5 with no new scale forming.
