Landfill Leachate is a very bad problem due to the excessive amounts of scale it can produce inside pipes and pumps. This often results in blockage to the system in every couple of months. The FlowMark Web Induction Scale Control system can be applied to down hole pumps and piping to prevent scale from attaching to surfaces. It accomplishes this by production of a large quantity of microscopic crystal seeds. These crystal seeds present an extremely large surface area for the growth of scale to occur. By accelerating the precipitation of solid scale forming minerals a fine free-flowing powder is formed instead of scale that adheres to pipe walls or pump parts. This free-flowing powder is so light and fine that it is easily flushed from the system, being carried out by the Leachate.
